USEFUL INFORMATION
SOCIAL SECURITY
Students of the IMEP • Paris College of Music enrolled in Professional Cycle and Preparatory Year have the status of student. As such, the payment to the Student and Campus Contribution (CVEC) to the CROUS is mandatory. Students benefit from Social Security for free. Newly arrived foreign students are granted to join the general social security scheme only after a period of 3 months of residence in France. During this period, they must take out health insurance with a private company.
DISCOUNT ON TRANSPORTATION COSTS
Your registration at IMEP allows you to request an Imagine R card and receive a substantial discount on your transportation costs in Ile de France. Just pick up a recording form in any SNCF or RATP station and return it filled out with a copy of your academic certificate.
PROFESSIONALS IN TRAINING
In certain cases, employed students benefiting from the right to continuing training may make contact with the agency financing this training and submit their internship finance packet to the school secretary during the third trimester of the year preceding the year of internship training. -Every candidate for admission to the school must ensure that he or she has the required level (see entrance exam) before requesting an internship finance packet. -The school is not required to systematically accept internship finance packets for professional training (AFDAS, or others), even if they are valid. The faculty council determines whether or not these applications will be accepted.
IMEP ATTESTATION OF STUDIES
Students may request an IMEP Attestation of Studies (independent of the degree and certificates) within a maximum period of five years after their departure. Partially completed years are not subject to such an attestation.
