IMEP alumna Orelle Soyeux will replace some of Sylvain Bellegarde’s classes this year. Singer, pianist, author, composer and producer, she is currently writing her first solo album.
Back in France after 6 years in Canada, Orelle is writing her first solo album.
In the tradition of her musical heroines Sara Bareilles, Amy Winehouse, Dodie, Orelle offers a suave pop with soul, infused with jazz, musicals, folk, and indie rock.
With her experience on the other side of the Atlantic, Orelle now intends to share her songs and her musical universe with France. Honest and straightforward, her texts speak of love but not only: mental health, social justice and human rights are themes that are dear to her.
His latest track Leave you to her recorded in the beautiful Bandeen Hall at Bishop’s University in Sherbrooke, Canada is available on Youtube.
