IMEP – Paris College of Music alumnus Adrian Valia publishes the book Music Theory Made Simple. A new, fun and easy to understand tool for music theory, it is available to order.

Adrian Valia is a London-based pianist and producer. A graduate in music production, Adrian Valia became a student at IMEP – Paris College of Music in 2018. He then continued his musical career in London where he now works as a full-time musician.

He made a name for himself on social networks and in particular on Tik Tok with a series of videos entitled Music Visually Explained where he breaks down and makes accessible concepts such as polyrhythm, scales, power chords and the circle of fifths.

The success is immediate with some videos reaching a million views.

Rhythm, melody and harmony, Adrian explains it all in his book and uses the same colourful graphics and illustrations that have made his series so successful. With fun and interactive tools such as quizzes and QR codes leading to explanatory videos, Music Theory Made Simple is the new 2.0 method for learning music theory.
