Fred Wesley will be touring Europe from October 29th, he will play at the New Morning on November 29th. Fred Wesley sponsored the 2018 graduating class of IMEP – Paris College of Music.

Fred Wesley is the trombonist, composer, arranger, bandleader and author known worldwide as one of the architects of funk music. Fred’s work with the godfather of soul James Brown in the 1970s established him as the funkiest trombonist in the world. Today, he leads his own jazz-funk band, the New JBs, teaches students and young musicians around the world, and lends his energy to various artists in a wide range of musical styles.
