Tara Mehrad is an Iranian singer, songwriter and composer. Her compositions are modern and unique; melodies with oriental colours, varied harmonies and rhythms influenced by world music. She performs her current album Bidari (awakening) with her powerful and authentic voice, telling the story of her path to metamorphosis. The singer became interested in music as a child, growing up with jazz, soul and blues. In Iran, music and singing are forbidden for women, so she left her country to come to France. She studied music for years (jazz, Brazilian music, opera singing, etc.) until the creation of her musical universe, born from her search for freedom of expression. His music is poetic, rebellious, mystical, sometimes revolutionary but always very intimate.
