Bye Boy, Venus Worship and Red Med in concert at La Java! Friday 20 December from 7.30pm to 11pm to hear musicians from Bye Boy, Venus Worship and Red Med! REDMED: Red Med (indie rock/rock punk, Paris) Masters in the art of setting the pace for your Parisian nights since 2017. It’s a pure product of British, French and unique rock that will be waiting for you on stage to set the Java alight. BYE BOY: BYE BOY (Rock-Pop, Paris, FR) Somewhere between Cocaine and Grenadine, BYE BOY’s melancholy rock-pop combines catchy melodies and incandescent vocals. Inspired by British rock, a demonstration of eternal youth and furious melancholy, BYE BOY bring their intoxicating music to the stage, where dazzling choruses clash with haunting guitars. The 3 influences: Oasis, Cage The Elephant, Indochine VENUS WORSHIP: Venus Worship is a new alternative rock and grunge project based in Paris.
The band is made up of Marie, former member of punk band Toxxic Queen, on drums, Megan, front woman of stoner band Shienn, on bass and backing vocals, and Marko, former member of grunge/psychedelic/noise band Electric Retro Spectrum, on guitar and vocals. United by their love of abrasive rock and their hatred of patriarchy and imperialist, colonialist and capitalist systems of oppression, they are determined to make as much noise as possible while getting their audience dancing. They oscillate between frantic riffs and catchy melodies to deliver a powerful, committed alternative rock that’s also sensitive and melancholy. It’s this duality between energy and sensitivity that best defines Venus Worship. They deliver an energetic, almost punk performance, driven by a passion for rock and a desire to vibrate with their audience.
