The Jazz in the Park competition is back for its 8th edition, and you can enter the selections until 27 April!
The competition will take place in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, from 19 to 21 September 2025 during the Jazz in the Park festival.
Jazz in the Park is a musical competition dedicated to emerging jazz artists, offering them the chance to perform in front of an international jury.
and a large audience, gain exposure, financial support and other benefits to boost their careers.
MPORTANT DATES :
- Applications open: 4 March 2025
- Deadline for applications: 27 April 2025
- Announcement of pre-selection results: 20 May 2025
WHO CAN APPLY?
- Musicians aged between 16 and 35 (one member of the group may be over 35)
- Open to jazz, world music and related genres
Registration is free.
At the end of the selection process, twelve finalists will be chosen to perform live in Cluj-Napoca.
Each selected group receives €1,000 for its participation. Travel and accommodation costs are partially covered.
COMPETITION PRIZES:
1st prize:
- 5000€
- invitation to perform at Jazz in the Park 2026 (contract worth €1,500, accommodation and transport)
- participation in Jazz in the Park 2026 (€2,000 contract, accommodation and transport)
2nd prize : 3000€
3rd prize : 1000€
Best Romanian group: €1,000
Best original composition: €500
Special mention for three musicians: €500 each
Audience prize: Musical equipment
